With some good friends (and fellow Rabbis) at the Rabbi-president conference in Moscow.
R' Nissen Ruppo forwarded me another email, which had been sent to Shimon Briman (who had written the only article in Russia that defended us and mentioned for example the letter with 189 signatures). It was written by a "Mikhail Kravetsky." I don't know any Kravetsky's in Stavropol.
This is a clear attempt to ruin Natasha as well. read on - translation is free:
Shimon, read the letter with 184 signatures. First of all, let me tell you that the signatures in that letter are couterfeit.
Second of all, let me educate you a bit. The letter was NOT written by community members of "Shalom", rather by Natasha Kuligina, coordinator of the Sochnut. Don't you realize what this struggle is about? It's for the money from the "Or Avner" fund.
They are terribly afraid thatt the fund will cease to finance them now that the Rabbi has departed.
What school are they talking about? It was not a school they ran. The children received no knowledge in it. Thy have no techniques or plans for teaching. The children don't know anything: neither Hebrew nor traditions. NOTHING. They used to come to the Center on Sunday, singing the same songs from year to year, and they run about destroying the Center.
This is what you have seen on that useless scrap of paper.
In general, the sunday school should be at the community Center, and it used to be there, but the diligence of the Rabbi (through Kuligina's cunning) moved it out.
The situation for the Sochnut in Stavropol with financing are bad, and therefore the Sochnut (and Chesed program simultaneously) head Natasha Anatolevna Kuligina has been banging her head on the wall worrying that G-d forbid the fund shouldn't close.
The question you should be asking is what relation did she have with "Or Avner" fund!
By the way, the inititator of the dissonance between the community and its Rabbi was tha same Kuligina, as it was in her interests to do so. Therefore Rabbi Zvi Hershcovich not only financed her school, but also paid the rent fror her premises which she was about to lose.
There wasn't only a conflit between the community and the Rabbi, there was also conflict between Kuligina and the community who have been led by its president (and twice voted in, which apparently to her is too little).
She used this conflict to achieve her purposes with Hershcovich. And he, the young and unskilled guy, trusted her. Unfortunately he doesn't understand people well.
Backing Kuligina are many Greeks - her work as head of Chesed distributing groceries and medical aid etc. through it all she was very rough and impudent.
I can give you a couple of phone numbers, so you can hear people tell you themselves who she represents.
I also wish to add that this isn't the first complaint Kuligina had with the Federation. At the end of 2008 she sent a complaint about Fainer which was full of forged signatures. People were literally in shock, having heard that in the complaint were their surnames. So too here.
Kuligina does so many sins, sending peope to Israel with false documents. She only became Jewish herself several years ago - only after 9 years of work in the Sochnut has she obtained for herself Jewish documents.
Yours faithfully,
M. Kravetsky
If there was a new low to fall, this was it. Obviously the tone of the letter is again Yana. And I'm sure that if 200 people were on video asking the request, Yana would claim that they were probably drugged. "They had no idea what they were saying, and are shocked to see what is being said in their voices!"
Hmmm, not a bad idea.

For now all you can do is know the truth. If Ch"V we won't be allowed back, then we'll probably take this thing to the press... but let's see what happens first. I want to return to Stavropol, not win the press battle.
I'm sure Yefim is pissed that you haven't beenm fighting the press. I can just see him waiting for you to "say" something ad lash back!
