This is a response from the Russin Jewish Congress regarding the letter from Oleg Pushkantser which was sent to the authorities.

Dear Rabbi Herschcovich,
Only several days ago the Russian Jewish Congrss indignantly learnt about the arbitrary act of O.M. Pushkantser, who sent a letter about a disputable situation in Stavropol's Jewish Community to the authorities of Stavropol Krai. In his letter he acts on behalf of Russian Jewish Congress.
Although Pushkantser is really a leader of Stavropol regional department of RJC, the Russian Jewish Congress has nothing to do with the letter and the conflict itself.
One of the main principles of RJC is non participation in the conflicts within Jewish community including regions. Besides, RJC is a secular organization, and it does not interfere into relations between religious structures.
RJC is very sorry about this incident and we hope that it won’t influence the relations between RJC and other Jewish structures, which suffered from Pushkantser’s actions.
